Highly recommended. This dryer feels solid and well built. It is a bit heavier than the typical cheapie dryer. It is also quieter, and has a narrower barrel. (Probably to concentrate/direct the air flow). On medium heat and high speed, dried my super thick hair fast and with a nice result. Based on another reviewer's comment I will use the hottest setting only occasionally.

I've had it about a month and so far so good. It does the job quite well. I can dry my hair in about 5 minutes and my hair comes just below my shoulders. I would say it's quieter than most, too. Based on other reviews I only use the middle heat setting instead of the highest and it seems to work fine. My only complaint, and it's not much of a complaint, is that it's fairly heavy- heavier than most other dryers. It's a little more $ than I'm using to paying for a hair dryer, but it's been well worth it.

I purchased this Babyliss hair dryer a week ago and was so disappointed. To the credit of the store, I received it timely and it was a good price. However, it does not perform half as well as my BaByliss PRO BAB2000 Professional Ceramix Xtreme 2000 Watt Hair Dryer. I was looking to replace my Xtreme because it's a great dryer but they consistently break after a year and I've already had 3. However, the finish on this hairdryer was uncomfortable to hold considering the weight of it. The Xtreme is hefty, too, but the material has a nice finish and shape so it's comfortable to hold. I read a few things on the placement of the buttons - they are not inconvenient, they are AWFUL. It makes holding the dryer literally painful.
Overall, this dryer isn't even worth $5.

I don't know what happened but the heat just stopped. Now I'm contacting the store this came from through Amazon to try to get my money back. Not sure if I should try to replace it with another one. Liked the blow dryer but what a disappointment.

This is a powerful blowdryer. works great. price is good. feels a little heavy, especially if you have long hair, but overall its a great product! just get someone else to do your hair. (its more fun that way anyway :) )
